Quickstart

From a fresh wallet to your first filled order in five steps.

This guide takes you from nothing to a first order. Budget about five minutes, plus however long a Polygon transfer takes.

#1. Connect a wallet

Select Connect in the top bar. PerpsX uses Privy for wallet connection, so you can use an existing wallet or create an embedded one. Your wallet is switched to Polygon automatically when needed.

#2. Open a trading session

The first time you open The Terminal, PerpsX asks your wallet to sign a message that creates a trading session. The session lets the terminal place and cancel orders for you.

  • One signature, no transaction, no gas.
  • Sessions last 7 days and PerpsX offers to renew one in its final hour.
  • Clearing PerpsX data in Settings → Privacy revokes the session when it can.

#3. Deposit collateral

Go to Wallet and deposit pUSD, the collateral Polymarket Perps uses.

  • The minimum deposit is 10 pUSD.
  • You need pUSD in your Polymarket wallet first.
  • Deposits are Polygon transactions, so you pay a small amount of gas.

#4. Place an order

In the terminal:

  1. Pick a market with the market switcher or press ⌘ K.
  2. Choose Buy / Long or Sell / Short.
  3. Choose Market or Limit and enter a size (or press 1–4 for 25–100% of available margin).
  4. Set leverage and margin mode, and optionally attach take-profit and stop-loss.
  5. Review the summary (notional, margin, liquidation price) and submit.

#5. Watch the result

Fills appear in the Fills panel and your position appears under Positions with its liquidation price.
